Winning local representative for Australia and New Zealand

Selectrail is representative for Intelligence on Wheels in Australia and New Zealand

Selectrail and Intelligence on Wheels (IoW) are proud to announce that both companies have signed a contract allowing Selectrail to bring IoW’s innovative, award winning train collision avoidance technology to the Australian railways. The technology leverages a safety overlay system design very successful in aeronautics to the railway system. By being independent of and complementing existing infrastructure components, the technology can be installed using onboard components only. This way, the new “safety net” can be retro-fitted train by train, lifting the safety level from whatever is there today to a new level. “The Australian railway system with thousands of km of mostly non electrified track network and many very cost sensitive industrial, mining, and local passenger railway operators open to cost effective innovation is a perfect opportunity for our technology”, says IoW’s CEO Thomas Strang. “IoW’s technology extends our portfolio of high quality railway signalling products”, emphasizes Selectrail’s CEO Michael Strike. Both companies want to provide German engineering paired with local, fast and professional service to further strengthen the Australian railway system for a sustainable future.
